1)-What are My Short Term And Long Term Education And Career Goals?
I plan to get into the feild of Journalism Media, where I may work on a news cast writing for the telepromter, write articles for a local newspaper, or publish my own newspaper. My short-term goals are to go to post-secondary school and get my degree in English, and Journalism. My long term goals are to write articles for a news paper, weather it be front page or a small column in the back. 2)-Why Did I Choose These Goals? I chose these goals because they seem reasonable, I do not exspect to reach the editor of the news paper, or to write a massive novel, I exspect to do well in this area, and be respectful. I enjoy writing, and I want to persue it, but I do not have the ability to write a large novel, and small articles week by week or day by day would make me very happy. 3)-What Education/Training Is Required For Me To Acheive These Goals? Rare Schools in British Columbia offer Journalism Media programs, so I may have to leave home to receive my education. Any creative writting courses or things in that area will help me reach my "Goals". 4)-What Institutions or Facilities Provide This Training? Which Institution Or Facility Is Most Appropriate To My Interests? Although I searched I have found no schools that provide this type of education, but there must be one out there. A university would be much better than a College but I may have to settle considering that most of these schools provide very little training in this area. 5)-What Courses Will I Take During Grade 11 And 12 To Prepare Me For My Education Or Training? In grade 11 and 12 I will be taking English both years and Media Journailism. I will also be taking a Social studdies course relating to current events. 6)-WhatExtra-Curricular, Volenteer, or Community Exsperiences Will Help Me Acheve My Goals? To help me acheive this goal I could join the Yearbook team, or spend my leasure time writing about things that interest me. I am not sure what community service or voulenteer work I could do relating to this topic. 7)-What do I have to do to achieve my goals? To acheive my goals I would have to work my butt off. I would have to work extremely hard in college or University, and send my resumes everywhere that relates to my goals. 8)-What are potential challenges I may face in the achievement of my goals? Challenges I may face include: 9)-What will I do to meet these challenges? I will perservere, and not give up hope. My idea of success is not only having a wonderful career in journalism media, I would also like to have respect from my co-workers(if any), Finacial security, and a pleasent home to return to every night.
